Healthcare Ethics and Law is an educational site for healthcare professionals and students of all backgrounds. Our aim is to make the topic of healthcare ethics and law accessible and simple to understand.

We aim to do this by sharing educational content as well as links to other resources. In doing so we hope this will build interest in the topic but also benefit healthcare practitioners in their working lives.

About me:


I am Dr Keerut Oberai, a General Dental Practitioner in West Sussex. In addition to attaining my BDS from the University of Liverpool I have a BSc in Philosophy and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law from King’s College London. Currently, I am undertaking an MSt in Practical Ethics at the Oxford Uehiro Centre of Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford.

My goal with the website is to collate information which will be a helpful revision tool and learning resource to healthcare professionals of all backgrounds and stages in their career.

Being a dentist myself, there is a tab which is specifically tailored to dentists and may be of particular interest to dental foundation trainees and dental core trainees. The Healthcare Ethics and Law tab has information relevant for all healthcare practitioners and considers the ethical and legal issues we all face in our day to day practice.
